From a Food Truck to Three Northern Virginia Taquerias
La Tingeria started in 2013 with a simple idea: bring the bold, unapologetic flavor of Mexico City street stalls to Northern Virginia — without anyone having to choose between tradition and their halal diet. What began as a food truck became a beloved counter-service taqueria on S Washington St in Falls Church, and has since grown to Alexandria and Spotsylvania (Fredericksburg).
Today, we're known across the DMV for consommé that regulars call "the best they've ever had," a Taco Tuesday that locals build their week around, and salsas and tortillas still made the slow way, by hand, at every location.
